Christmas in the Jail is an annual tradition for Reach the Forgotten Jail Ministry. Our jail chaplains partner with local churches and community members to bring a spirit of Joy into what is the hardest time of year for those incarcerated. As they miss their families, friends, and freedom, mental health issues rise, as well as conflict, and feelings of loneliness. Christmas in the Jail provides a word of Hope as each jail uniquely celebrates through activities such as Christmas caroling and pizza parties.
This is our second annual Christmas in the Jail drive as we partner with 89.3 Moody Radio to collect goods for RTF chaplains and volunteers to include in Christmas gift bags. We are grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to collect goods from Monday, November 11 – Sunday, December 8. This year our biggest needs are socks, snacks, and specs. You can see specifics on our Amazon Wish List located below.
